New Licensed Insolvency Trustees
Cherry migrated to Canada from the Philippines in 2004. Despite her being a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, she needed to be recertified as a CPA in Canada. After working in various accounting and insolvency related roles, Cherry completed her training as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). Aside from being a LIT, Cherry is also a designated Master Tax Professional.
Brenda graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science, Honors in Psychology. She first started in the insolvency industry in 1995 and earned her Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation in 2006 after successful completion of the National Insolvency Exam and OSB Oral Board.
Brenda has spent many years volunteering as a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP). She is past chair of CAIRP’s Course Material Review Committee and has served on various other committees as well as being a presenter at various CAIRP events. In 2012 Brenda received the CAIRP Outstanding Volunteer Award.
As a Licensed Insolvency Trustee I help people and small business owners resolve their financial problems. I’ve practiced exclusively in both consumer and corporate insolvency, litigation support and forensic accounting since 2003 in British Columbia, Alberta and the Maritime provinces.
