David Macdonald
Licensed Insolvency Trustee
I bring a practical, down-to-earth approach to my work, without judgment. I enjoy being able to take complicated legal and financial issues and explain them in a way that people can understand so they can make decisions that are right for them and their families.
Bio
As a Licensed Insolvency Trustee I help people and small business owners resolve their financial problems. I’ve practiced exclusively in both consumer and corporate insolvency, litigation support and forensic accounting since 2003 in British Columbia, Alberta and the Maritime provinces.
Over the course of my career I have helped thousands of individuals, professionals, and corporations with their financial difficulties. I have been retained as a trusted advisor and service provider by many of Canada’s banks, private lenders, First Nations and the Canada Revenue Agency.
A little known fact about me is that before going back to night school to obtain my accounting designation I was a tradesman, working as an aircraft engine mechanic and welder.
Outside of work I volunteer my time with a number of charitable and not for profit organizations and spend as much of my time as possible riding (and repairing) a rotating stable of motorcycles.
